School Library Month Celebration

School Library Month Celebration

April was School Library Month and on Wednesday April 26, librarians, assistants, and school administrators got together at Hermitage High School to celebrate. It was a time to enjoy each other’s company, good food, a panel of guest authors, and honor this year’s Ann M. Martin Scholarship winner.
The guest authors were Erica Orloff, Bill Pike, and Steven K. Smith.
This year’s Ann M. Martin Learning for Life School Librarian’s Scholarship winner was Raven Witherspoon, of J. R. Tucker High School.
Below are some wonderful pictures taken at the celebration by our own Jan Budryk, librarian at the Hermitage and Highland Springs technical centers.

It was a fun 45 minutes of hands-on learning! Below are some pictures of the lessons.
